IQOS TEREA Tropical Menthol Japan is a Japanese-market heated tobacco stick designed for IQOS ILUMA devices. Its manufacturer-described flavour combines menthol cooling with tropical mango aroma.

Tropical Menthol and Black Tropical Menthol are separate product names. Their packaging and product information should not be used interchangeably.

Flavor Profile

IQOS Japan identifies tropical mango aroma as the defining aromatic characteristic of Tropical Menthol, paired with refreshing menthol.

The official description does not specify a blend of orange, pineapple, guava, peach and lychee. Those individual fruit notes should therefore not be presented as manufacturer-confirmed specifications.

The manufacturer’s description establishes the flavour identity without providing an opening, heart and base sequence or a numerical sweetness rating.

Tropical Menthol vs Bright Menthol

Both are Japanese menthol variants, but their named aromas differ.

These differences concern flavour descriptions. The products follow the same TEREA device-compatibility requirements.

IQOS ILUMA Compatibility

TEREA sticks contain an internal metal heating element called SMARTCORE. Compatible IQOS ILUMA devices heat this element through the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM, rather than inserting an exposed heating blade into the tobacco.

Compatible Devices

• IQOS ILUMA
• IQOS ILUMA PRIME
• IQOS ILUMA ONE
• IQOS ILUMA i
• IQOS ILUMA i PRIME
• IQOS ILUMA i ONE

Incompatible Devices

• IQOS 3 and IQOS 3 DUO
• IQOS 3 MULTI
• IQOS 2.4 Plus
• IQOS ORIGINALS DUO
• IQOS ORIGINALS ONE
• Other previous blade-based IQOS devices

Using TEREA with previous IQOS generations may damage the device. TEREA and HEETS are not interchangeable consumables.

Key Features and Product Construction

• Menthol flavour category
• Manufacturer-described tropical mango aroma
• Sealed stick construction
• Internal SMARTCORE heating element
• Designed for IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i devices
• Single-use format

• Insert the stick according to the device manual.
• Do not remove the stick while the device is operating.
• Allow the used stick to cool before disposal.

TEREA contains a sharp metal component that can cause serious injury if swallowed.

Storage

Store packs in a clean, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

Keep sticks protected from damage and do not use sticks exposed to excessive heat or moisture. Keep all tobacco products out of reach of children and pets.
